Faustina Firsts
In this newsletter we are introducing “Fautina Firsts” – where you can find out about players who have achieved their first goal, hat trick and shut out. Congratulations to everyone below in our first list of this year. See this list further down in the email.
15th Annual Carl Gordaneer Memorial Christmas Tournament
Faustina is pleased to present the 15th annual Christmas select hockey tournament.
The tournament runs between December 26th and December 31st at the Master Card Centre. Please visit the tournament page on our web site for schedules and details. If you are curious about select hockey and the caliber of play this is great opportunity to check it out for free and cheer on the Faustina select teams.
There will also be draws and a puck toss with proceeds going to the Faustina Hockey Club.
Second Half House League Schedule

The Faustina Valentines Dinner and Dance
We will once again be hosting the annual Faustina Valentines Dinner and Dance. This is a great night out for parents, coaches and friends of Faustina. Tickets will be available soon.
Here are the details:
Date: February 9, 2013, at the Renaissance by the Creek
Cocktails 6:00 PM, Dinner 7:00 PM
Tickets – $60.00 each.

Theft at the Master Card Centre
We regret to inform you that there has been a number of thefts at the Master Card Centre. Mobile phones seem to be the target. Please remind your coaches to lock the dressing room doors. As an extra precaution please ensure that your player’s mobile phone is in a parents pocket or purse during the game.
Vulnerable Sector Screening for all Faustina Hockey Club Members and Faustina Hockey Club Parent Volunteers (Police Checks)
Under Section 5, Screening Process, of the GTHL Speak Out Policies, one mandatory requirement is that all Member Associations, their members and parent volunteers must have a completed and valid (expires every 4 years from date of issue) Vulnerable Sector Screening/Police Reference Check, or as referred to by the GTHL, a Criminal Reference Check, from their respective police jurisdiction.
As the Faustina Hockey Club is governed by this policy, all valid checks must be completed prior to initiation of hockey activities.

Buy and Sell Used Hockey Gear
Old hockey gear piling up in the basement? Snowboard too small? Ski boots too small? Your kid’s feet grown three sizes this year and you need new skates to start the year? Please consider posting your extra gear on the Buy and Sell area on our web site.
