Faustina Minor Atom Select “Giving Back Hope” Fundraiser

Faustina Hockey Families,

We would like to make you aware of an awesome opportunity to support 2 truly inspiring members of our Faustina Minor Atom Select Team!

As many of you may know, 2 members of our team suffer from chronic diseases and have been fortunate to receive ongoing care at Sick Kids Hospital.

Jake has been undergoing experimental treatments at Sick Kids for Juvenile Arthritis which have not only allowed him to walk, but lead our house league and select division in scoring this year!

Avery, through vigilance and the help of her Diabetic Alert Dog, deals with her Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes on a daily basis and has provided both her house league and select teams with solid defence.

Their perseverance and determination have been an inspiration to both players and parents.  In fact, the greatest gift that these 2 amazing kids have given our larger community is ….. HOPE.

When:                  Monday, May 5, 2014   6:30 – 8:30 PM

Where:                 Laserquest Mississauga

Supporting:        Sick Kids – Juvenile Arthritis Research; and Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers

There are 3 ways you can support our kids:

1)       Buy a ticket (or tickets)!  Tickets are $ 15 and include 2 games of laser tag.  $8.80 from the sale of every ticket will go to our 2 great causes (regular cost of 2 games is $ 17).  Pizza and drinks will be for sale and several draws will also be held.
Tickets can be obtained by emailing one of the organizers below or during remaining Atom house league games.

2)       Collect donations or make a donation to a child who is collecting them:  Every loonie counts!!!!  Monetary donations greater than $20 to Sick Kids – Juvenile Arthritis Research will be issued a tax receipt from Sick Kids Hospital and those to Service Dogs by Warren Retrievers will be issued a U.S. tax receipt.  Sponsorship forms can be obtained by emailing one of the organizers listed below or during remaining Atom house league games.

3)      Donate a prize for one of our draws:  We would greatly benefit from any donations of prizes & / or gift certificates that you may be able to donate!
