Saturday is game day for all divisions.
The first game of the day is 7 AM and the last game 7:00 PM
- With the exception of the U7 (Tyke) division (which plays early in the day), the different age based divisions move thru the game day schedule on a rotational basis.
- Everybody takes their turn at those early and late start times.
The season long schedule for all the teams is ready on the first day of the season, so parents can know weeks ahead when their player has a game.

Modified Ice – I.P. Program (U8-U9 / Minor Novice,Novice)
Faustina is at the forefront of implementing Hockey Canada’s mandated Initiation Programs which include all 4 to 8 year old players – we think you’ll find one of the best Hockey Canada based Initiation Programs (I.P.) around @ Faustina. Last season we had 45 volunteers running our U7 Tyke Timbits I.P. Hockey program alone.
Visit our U7 Timbits I.P. page or our U9 Novice I.P. page to learn more about our development program that is based on small ice game time while prioritizing skills development and love of the game.
Teams & Divisions
Players are organized into teams and divisions by age. Some movement is made to other divisions based on ability if needed.
Last season we had 44 teams in 7 divisions and almost 700 players.
- U7 (Tyke) rotates through 5 minute shifts with 3 zones (practice area, mini-game, Bench). Players take turns playing goal.
- U9, U11 (Novice – Atom divisions) are 3-minute buzzer line changes and no body checking.
- U12 – U18 (Peewee, Bantam and Midget) divisions are change on the fly and no body checking.
Same team / coach requests
We have a form for submitting a same team or coach request for house league players who are not participating in CDP or select hockey. We cannot guarantee same team or specific coach requests but we do our best to accommodate these where possible.
Complete this form if you would like to submit a request for next season.

Practices
The house league teams do not practice as teams during the season.
We have weekly skating and skills improvement practice sessions, all indoors at the Ford Performance Centre or nearby Long Branch Arena.
Practices are usually held on Sunday mornings at Ford Performance Centre.
Here is a link to the practice schedule from last season for reference.
Since we do not practice as teams, we can be flexible for players attending other age group sessions if they cannot make their groups practice, a player can practice once or sometimes twice a week if desired.
Respect in Sport Parent Certification
A parent/guardian of every player is required by Hockey Canada to take this course (if you have taken it previously, you do not have to renew it).
Learn about the required respect in sport online course for parents.
Location
The Faustina Hockey League plays all games at the Ford Performance Centre, 400 Kipling Ave. Toronto (just north of Lakeshore Blvd.) in south Etobicoke. This is also the practice rink of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Marlies and Hockey Canada.
Refunds & Cancellation Policy
House League player withdrawals and refunds of fees are possible.
The refund policy is as follows; $100 Admin Cancellation fee is charged, then for each week of the schedule concluded, with or without the player’s participation in the games, $25 is deducted from the registration fee paid. For example, withdrawal after 5 weeks of the season, $100 + 5 x $25 = $225 is withheld and remainder of HL Fee is returned. To cover insurance and sweater costs, there will be no refunds paid after week 10 of the schedule.
