Happy New Year Faustina Parents! We hope you enjoy the rest of the regular season and the countdown to the play offs.
Annual Valentines Dance – February 9th
Put this date in your calendar and get ready to bust a move at our annual Valentines Dance. This is a great opportunity to meet other hockey parents and plot play off strategies with the coaches.
Here are the details:
Date: February 9, 2013, at the Renaissance by the Creek
Cocktails 6:00 PM, Dinner 7:00 PM
Tickets – $60.00 each.
See your coach or visit the Faustina room for tickets
To make sure that all of the parents of players in the Bantam division can attend the dance, the schedule has been adjusted as follows;
Bantam games scheduled for the end of the day on Saturday Feb 9th will be moved to Thursday Feb 7th at Longbranch Arena
8:00pm Lopies vs Classic Towing , 9:00pm J&B 50’s vs JJ Downs.
Faustina Fury Home Games Now Posted on our Website
Faustina Fury Select hockey teams play at the Master Card Centre every Wednesday. Come on down and cheer on your friends. The Fury home schedule is now available on our web page: http://23.91.71.247/~faustin1/select/fury-home-games/
*Please note that there is a gate fee of $5.00 for children over 12, and adults.
Fury Shout Outs
A special shout out to Patrick Williams on our Under 21 select team. Patrick has spent most of his minor hockey career as a goaltender. But due to a shortage of players on the bench Patrick has been dressing as a player this season. Last week he buried a great goal for the Fury to help win the game. Way to go Patrick! Keep your stick on the ice.

15th Annual Carl Gordaneer Memorial Christmas Tournament
We hope that you all enjoyed the 15th annual Christmas select hockey tournament this year. Our select teams did very well with medals won by a number of teams:
Tyke – Gold medal
Minor Novice – Bronze medal
Novice – Gold medal
Atom – Bronze medal
Minor Pee Wee – Gold medal
Pee Wee – Bronze medal
Minor Bantam – Bronze medal
House League Schedule
The new schedule from January through March is now posted.
House League Pictures
House league pictures will be on sale soon.
House League PlayOffs
This year we have six teams in the Tyke division. As a result the first round of the play offs will be a round robin format. The Tyke playoff round robin will start on Saturday February 9th.

House League Practice Change on February 3rd
Sunday February 3rd – Peewee & older
New time – 8:15 AM, Master Card Centre, Rink #1
Old time – 11:30 AM, Master Card Centre, Rink #3
We have had to make this change to accomodate the Carolina Hurricanes who are practicing on Rink#3 at 11:30 AM.
