A Joint Statement from Faustina Hockey and the following Minor Hockey Organizations in Toronto
House League Registration to Open June 1, 2020
Over the last month we have all experienced unprecedented change and uncertainty due to Covid-19. In response, a number of GTA hockey associations have been working collaboratively to plan for the upcoming hockey registration period. In considering the direction of health and government officials, the uncertainty around the resumption of hockey operations, and the economic uncertainty felt by many, all clubs listed below have agreed to postpone the opening of registration until June 1st, 2020. Please note that this date may be re-evaluated as the situation evolves.
Our collective hope is that this delay will provide more certainty around when the season will begin allowing for more accurate timing and pricing schedules. It also allows our clubs additional time to implement flexible payment options for families impacted financially by this crisis.
It is important to highlight that other clubs in the GTA may choose to open their registration systems earlier. While we respect these decisions, we feel that the best course of action for our individual organizations is to continue to monitor the situation while keeping our members informed of any developments.
Hockey will return to our great city and we look forward to that day with anticipation. In the meantime, we wish you health and safety in these challenging times.
